Privacy policy

While Metro tracks overall web site traffic, it does not collect individual user details, such as name and e-mail address, unless a user voluntarily submits such information. The web site traffic information we do collect is used to improve the content of our web services and help us understand how people are using our web site. IF YOU SUBSCRIBE TO A METRO MAILING LIST OR PROVIDE PUBLIC COMMENT AND PROVIDE US WITH YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS INFORMATION WILL BECOME PUBLIC RECORD, PER STATE LAW AND WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. Individuals who submit e-mail address or street address information to Metro may receive other Metro mailings or have their name disclosed as part of a public information request by an outside party. This makes it important for individuals to consider carefully whether their address information is needed or whether less information would suffice.

Metro does not sell its mailing lists. However, per Metro Executive Order 54, charges shall be assessed for public information requests based on staff time and the cost of materials. Requests for data or computer generated mailing lists shall be charged on a time and material basis at the rate for clerical or professional staff.
